What is every component needed to make a computer? When I say component I mean video card, sound card, etc.?

I don't mean software.|||ATX or Micro ATX case

Power Supply

motherboard

compatible ram

compatible CPU (works with motherboard)

Hard Drive

At least one optical drive

Video Card

Audio Card (if you want better sound then what you get from a store buoght hunk of junk)

Keyboard

Mouse

A second larger hard drive is highly recommened to segregate your OS from your stored files such as video and music, this just makes things run better.|||needs for basic computer:

video card (necessity if your motherboard doesn't have integrated or you're building a gaming cpu)

These are the main components of computer. Some motherboard has onboard graphic card and audio. Some not... so you might need to get graphic card also, specially if you're into game or photo editing.|||Strictly hardware-- you need:

Video Card (unless you want to use on-board video)

Sound Card (optional. Most on-board sound is pretty good)



A case to stick it in.



Then Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, and speakers.
