I just received my new computer and it boots up and after a minute theres one long beep followed by 3 quick beeps. The cpu fan and also the video card's fan or heatsink are turning. But nothing happens on the monitor.Nothing appears on the screen. There is no sign on the screen saying "no signal"...the screen is just black.Btw i did not purchase windows with my new pc cuz i have one at home.I researched this problem on google with the one long beep and then 3 beeps problem and it sais its a video problem. But the graphics card's fan is turning.Or maybe it can be a ram problem? The components are core 2 duo e6600,2gb ddr2 667 Kingston,ASUS p5n-e sli motherboard,ASUS ATI Radeon X1950pro and 600Watt OCZ power supply.Plz Help!Tnx.|||Are the power cables connected to the video card?
it sounds like that the video card might not be seated in it's slot properly. this could cause the problem that you describe.
I would suggest though that if it is possible you take your computer back to where you brought from and have them look at it. the computer should be under a warranty, and you tinkering around in it could void the warranty.|||With an AMI BIOS, 1long, and 3 short-Conventional/extended memory failed.
