I just bought a new computer and I need to put in a halfway decent video card. Just enough to play COD4, Fallout 3 on reasonable settings and WoW on High settings. It's not an expensive computer so I don't want to spend a lot of money on the card only to have it bottlenecked by other components. I'm thinking something along the lines of a Radeon HD 4670 or a GeForce 220 w/ 512 megs of DDR3 for ~$60-$80.
The machine it's going into is an off the shelf Lenovo w/:
Pentium Dual Core E5300,
4GB DDR3 8500
Windows 7 64bit
22" 1920x1080 LCD w/ HDMI
320GB, SATA 3.0GB, 7200RPM
I guess my question is are those cards in line w/ the rest of the machine and is there anything I may not have considered that I should be mindful of?|||You should be fine. The only problem I see is your monitor. Its resolution is too high if you want to play those games on decent settings. You'll be fine as long as you play on a lower resolution.|||Dude you should be fine, I use a 4670 with quad core on 300 w psu, get the ddr3 1gb 4670 version for like 85 bucks. It's a pretty good card, and if u want more fps, get a free program named gamebooster it gives like 3 fps more it's something at least|||here is your best bethttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161260
also, you will need a new power supply to power any graphics card you get. trust me. the stock one will not cut it.
