What Motherboard and Video Card Should I Get? Is This A Good PC For Video Editing?

I'm looking for a motherboard and video card that work together. Here is what i will be using with it:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 Processor

Evo Labs 3393 Case

Storm 900 Watt Power Supply

6gb Heat Spreader RAM.

Also would this be a good set-up for video editing? I will be using Adobe After Effects CS5, Adobe Premier CS5, 3DS MAX, boujou 5.0 and Sony Vegas Pro 10.0.

And what other components would i need to build this PC.

Thanks alot|||The processor and RAM amount are good for video editing. But what's the RAM speed? I'd recommend a GeForce GT240 for a good general-purpose card for movie editing. You don't need a high-end gaming card for that.

I'd go with a better quality power supply brand like Antec, OCZ, Silverstone, Corsair or Seasonic.

Once we know your RAM details, we can suggest motherboards which support it.

** Update **

OK you've got 6gb of 1600Mhz DDR3 RAM. That's a strange mismatch. First of all, DDR3 is pretty unusual for Core 2 Quads (most motherboards designed for your processor use DDR2 instead). And having 3 sticks is something that's normal for some Core i5 and Core i7 systems, but not a Core 2 Quad. You'll probably need to run either 4gb or 8gb.

Here's a motherboard that would work, although the memory speed would need to be set manually.

Are these parts that were purchased separately, or maybe pulled from other computers? If you haven't bought the processor yet, I'd recommend not doing so. Get a Core i5 processor instead which can accept all of your existing RAM and is faster. Which parts do you already have?|||For the Adobe CS5 video programs, you should definitely take a close look at the complete minimum system requirements (including tested and recommended graphics cards), and then make sure you exceed them by a healthy margin..
