Many questions about computer components. AGP video card and cpu questions?

Can an AGP video card fit in to a pci or pci e slot?

Why are these processors so cheap?

Please be specific thank you|||An AGP card will only fit into an AGP slot.

Fry's is a very large nation wide computer store and has strong purchasing power with Intel and AMD.

My favourite computer store, especially the one in Las Vegas, it is huge....|||1) No, the slots are electrically and physically different. You would break one or the other trying to put the card in.

2) I noticed that the linked page didn't look right. It is not from Fry's. A quick search of frys.com reveals no such price for either CPU. Too good to be true probably is. The prices for the referenced CPUs is below:

AMD $62.33

Intel $87.99

BTW there is very little difference between the performance of these two CPUs. The Hype Threading of the Intel can make a difference but it is not that great. The supporting platforms are quite different and the AMD chip will run in a wider variety of motherboards (all AM2+ boards will run this and prices will run downwards to $35). The lowest available priced board for LGA1156 at frys.com is $74.99 while over at newegg.com a similar board runs $64.99.

Good luck.|||1) NO

2) These are both low end processors now with the i7 950 and 6-core Phenoms II out.

Both Intel and AMD will be adjusting prices as they roll out newer cpus.
